Definition
An HR system brings the entire employee lifecycle into one database: the personal file and contract, attendance and time, leave and requests, salary and entitlements, performance, and end of service. Instead of that data living across spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups and paper files, it is entered once and moves between modules on its own.
The practical difference is that the modules are wired together: attendance hours become overtime pay and late deductions inside payroll with no re-entry, leave balances drop the moment a request is approved, and end-of-service is computed from the join date and the recorded salary. That wiring is what separates an HR system from a standalone attendance or payroll tool.
Compliance here is the foundation, not an add-on. Barez is built on Saudi Labor Law from the first line: it calculates GOSI contributions, produces the wage protection file in Mudad format, applies the law to leave, penalties and end of service, and warns you before Iqamas and contracts expire.

Everything in one system
From hiring an employee to their end of service — Barez covers the full HR cycle.
Three check-in methods — geo-location, facial verification, or fingerprint devices — with flexible shifts and a labor-law violation engine.
Multi-currency payroll, automatic GOSI & end-of-service, allowances and deductions, and the WPS file ready in Mudad format.
A job posting with a public apply link, and an engine that reads every CV, scores it against the ad and ranks the candidates — then stages, interviews and scorecards, a verified offer and contract, and one-click candidate-to-employee conversion.
Twelve leave types on service-year balances, and thirteen request types an employee raises from their phone — from leave and excuse to advances, custody and letters — with approval chains, delegation and withdrawal.
Ready legal letters and notifications, alerts before Iqamas and contracts expire, and a four-step escalating penalty schedule that matches the regulation.
Weighted KPIs and scores per employee, probation reviews, employee satisfaction surveys, and employee-of-the-month selection.
Custody tracking confirmed by employee email reply, and loan installments on payroll — linked to salaries.
Five dashboards, one per role — employee, manager, HR, finance and system administration — with live metrics, ready reports and Excel export.
Team chat with reactions, direct task assignment to any employee, announcements, events and a calendar — with instant in-app, email and mobile notifications.
A page per module
Five dashboards, one per role — employee, manager, HR, finance and system administration — with live metrics, trends and signals that flag what matters, ready reports, Excel export, and scheduled periodic reports.
A complete payroll that computes base pay, allowances, and deductions per employee, links GOSI and end-of-service automatically, and supports multiple currencies inside or outside Saudi Arabia — with a sequential approval chain and a frozen, history-safe snapshot.
Three independent check-in methods — geo-location across multiple sites, facial verification, or fingerprint devices — that stop buddy-punching. Fixed and flexible shifts, grace and excuses, and automatic lateness/early-leave/overtime that feeds payroll directly.
You publish the posting with a public apply link, and the engine reads every CV and matches it against the ad: a score out of 100 per applicant, the matched and missing skills in front of you, and a ranking ready from the top. From there you move candidates through your own stages — screening, interview, scorecard — to the offer and contract, then into your employee records in one click.
An interactive org chart with colour-coded departments, instant search to jump to any employee, a detail card per person, zoom and image export, and automatic team-size counts per manager.
Complete employee files in multiple currencies inside and outside Saudi, granular per-role and per-department permissions, instant search and filtering, and full data isolation per company and branch.

Buyer's guide
Seven questions that filter the options before you commit to a year.
Ask for a live demo: have them enter an employee in front of you, calculate the end-of-service, and produce the wage protection file. Plenty of systems store the data and leave the maths to you.
If you move late hours and overtime by hand every month, you have two systems, not one.
Branch and site staff need to check in from their phone, by location or by face. One reader in the office does not serve them.
Open the system in Arabic before you subscribe. Literal translation breaks page direction, dates and legal terminology.
Every role, department and branch sees only its own scope. And with more than one company, each one's data is isolated from the rest.
One price per employee per month. No setup fees, and no surcharge each time you open a new module.
Ask specifically about the first payroll: how many days from uploading employees to approving the first run?

FAQ
Software that brings the whole employee lifecycle into one system: employee files and contracts, attendance, leave and requests, payroll and entitlements, hiring, performance and end of service — with reporting on top. The modules are wired together, so attendance data reaches payroll on its own with no re-entry.
Personnel software is mostly a record of files and data. An HR system adds the operations layer on top: attendance, payroll and entitlement calculation, approval routing, employee self-service, and decision reporting. In practice the first stores, the second executes.
